The Journey Begins

Or, what the heck I'm going to be writing about.
I've been thinking awhile about what exactly my first post should say. Maybe I'll lay out a grand scheme, or just write about anything that comes to mind. I've never been one to blog, or even journal, but I think the time has come to really write down everything that has been boiling up inside me about literature, short stories, novels, writing, and the journey to fulfill my dream of becoming an author.
They say that a writer is someone who writes, but I think that is more of a pat on the back, an atta-boy to keep a prospective writer's hopes up to keep churning out the word count. But just in case that's not true, much like pascal's wager i'm going to keep writing this blog every week, so that when someone asks me what I do, I can look them pointblank and say, I'm a "writer."
